What can PR Design a Cake offer Children?
As professional cake decorators, we aim to support schools running after school clubs. By offering short 5/6 week courses to children where they learn a new skill and take home some cake toppers. They will also receive one of our certificates on completion of the course.
Your school only needs to provide a room with tables and chairs for 15 children. We supply everything else!
Our motto is "Meet, Learn, Create and have fun."
We aim to complement Key stage 1 & 2 Art and Design Technology aims by developing pupil's creativity and imagination through complex activities. These help to build on their skills and improve their control of materials, tools and techniques. Our activities provide visual, tactile and sensory experiences. Pupil's use food colours, form, and texture to create models out of icing. We also apply concepts from mathematics, in relation to weighing, measuring and estimating. We also aim to make the children aware of personal hygiene and handling skills by wearing protective clothing, tying back hair and not spreading bacteria from the mouth or nose.
Children become more confident in using visual and tactile elements and materials at the same time they are also learning a new skill.
Most of all it is fun!
We tailor after school clubs to fit into the school allotted times, however, we never exceed 1 hour.
We make a suggestion that each child pays £15 to cover the whole 5 week course.
